Market Garden Stall Fundraiser at Riverview

I drove past this little street stall one friday morning on my way to Ipswich through Riverview and decided I should look it up and find out what it was all about.

I thought some others might be interested to know about Riverview Farm.  Here is the link:

http://salvos.org.au/canaan/watch-them-grow/

Looks like another great place to go for some garden plants and to support some people having a go.

BELLBOWRIE NEWS AND POST staff needed urgently

BELLBOWRIE NEWS AND POST staff needed urgently

We essentially have 2 (or more) positions available.

One position has, historically, been the weekend delivery to the
Bellbowrie, Anstead, Pinjarra Hills and Pullenvale areas. The hours for this
position are 2:00am to 6:30am, Saturday and Sunday, although the finish time
can extend by anything up to an hour or more under certain circumstances.

The second position involves weekday deliveries to Bellbowrie, Anstead and
Moggill. The hours for this position are 3:30am to 6:30am Monday to Friday,
but, again, under certain circumstances, the finish time may be extended.
Our experienced drivers complete this run in around 2 hours 40 minutes
although the award grants a minimum 3 hour engagement.

Either position could be fulfilled by more than one person, depending on
daily availability, hence the "or more" in the first line.

Saturday and Sunday work includes:
- bundling of papers for sub-agents and the shop,
- delivering papers to sub-agents,
- delivery of the papers as per the run lists,
- and may include wrapping the papers for delivery and other work as
required to ensure delivery obligations are met.

Monday to Friday work includes all of the above with the definite addition
of wrapping the papers for delivery.

Under normal circumstances, the weekend delivery position uses our vehicle.
The weekday position requires use of your own vehicle and includes an award
payment currently at $0.74 per kilometre. Average kilometres on weekdays are
68km.

Both positions are paid under the Retail Award. I can give you exact
details of the award at some later time. The positions are Casual and pay
approximately $19.40 per hour including the Casual allowance. Overtime is
paid for time worked before 5:00am and for all Sunday work.

Naturally, training time is allowed at commencement. The majority of
training is on-the-job. As we have contracted delivery times, new drivers
are given partial runs to begin with and build on them as times improve.
Accuracy with respect to the run list is essential as "missed" deliveries
create more work later on than the few seconds it takes to get it right in
the first place. Support is always available as there is always at least one
other person working (although you may not see them on weekdays), or I can
be called at any time.

If you would like further information, or wish to proceed with either
position, please don't hesitate to contact me.
If you know off persons interested please forward this message
Regards,
Darryl & Monika

5 days left until early bird offer expires! - 24.02.12, 9:00am

Recently I made mention of my upcoming workshops. I just thought I'd let you know the early bird offer expires in less than 5 days and I'd love for you and others to make the most of the savings on offer.

I have done things a little differently this time around. Now there is both a week day option and weekend option for the workshop.

Book on or before 10 February and save 10% on the workshop fee!

The workshop  - The Why, What & How to Finding Your Life Purpose- is based on the content of my upcoming book, Better Now Than Never. The 4-part workshop is scheduled for the four Fridays (or four Sundays) starting the last week of February. All materials, morning tea, lunch and refreshments are included. No distractions – just lots of you time.

You can book now by clicking here http://bit.ly/rawWn6

If you aren’t able to make it yourself, please help me spread the word by sharing this post with others so they can take advantage of the early bird offer.

Love and light

QCWA Moggill Branch

Title:

QCWA Moggill Branch invites you to come to share morning tea

QCWA Moggill continues to thrive - nearly 100 members with ages from 25 to 85.

The branch, which held its 9th birthday on 2 February, is renowned for its friendliness and the activities on offer are wide and diverse.

Ladies who join can sing in the choir, act with the drama group, play music, practice or learn to sew, knit, crochet, scrapbook, research, record and learn about local history, learn to play bridge or mahjong or engage in the many fundraising events throughout the year or enter some of the fun competitions.

Many of the topics cover sustainable lifestyles and simple living tips, home economics and incorporate buy local, reduce, reuse and recycle principals.

There is a social evening for ladies who cannot come to the daytime activities where a light meal is served followed by a guest speaker.

Most of these activities are featured on our blogsite http://awesomeactivitiesatmoggill.blogspot.com/

The 2011 floods saw the Moggill ladies helping out at the Uniting Church evacuation centre – making sandwiches, cakes, teas/coffees and delivering food to the volunteers who were working in the area.

The country families were not forgotten either and the QCWA State Office arranged new linen, cleaning packs, personal hygiene packs & baby supplies to be sent out to branches in rural Queensland for distribution.

So if you are new to the area and would like to meet some new people with similar interests, or are a lady new to the area missing your Mum or Grandma, please come for a visit - we would love to meet from you.

CWA is for women of all ages and there is something for everyone, if you have a particular interest let us know.

For your first visit please ring ahead, please contact Margaret on 3202 9189 or smiths@bellbowrie.com - we would love to hear from you.

Goodbye...Onwards & Upwards!

"Sadly, it seems that resigning from the BCA is not enough to protect me (and my family) from abuse on and offline from people who seem to be unable to even write without swearing and/or abusing people without providing proof. After 2 + years of this, my wife Jo and I have decided to remove ourselves from the BCA Facebook Group, the BCA website and BCA Mebership in the hope that others will continue what we started.I thank those that have sent us messages of support/concern and wish Russell Peacock all the very best for the future and encourage those that have voiced their passion for our ..."
