Petition ~ Re Bellbowrie Plaza Shopping Centre

This petition has been lodged in response to the closure of several more businesses in the Bellbowrie Plaza Shopping Centre and the fact that all commercially zoned land in Bellbowrie is currently owned by the same person. The rapidly expanding suburbs of Moggill and Bellbowrie need a community hub of quality, which provides the goods and services required however over many years we have been consistently let down in this regard. As a community, we have for many years striven to support our local businesses. Regrettably, we are increasingly forced to travel outside of our community to procure the goods and services of a quality other Brisbane residents take for granted.

Bellbowrie Community Association Inc (BCA) invite interested members of the community to our next meeting as follows:

Proposed Agenda:

• Update on BCA progress - what have we achieved since the last meeting?
• Set Up Sub-groups to work on BCA development - i.e. Website Content & Admin, Marketing & Communications, Fund-raising (etc.) - please think of others to raise on the evening;
• Special Interest Project Groups - are we ready to set up project/interest groups such as - Bellbowrie Plaza, Bellbowrie Festival (etc.)- please think of others to raise on the evening;
• BCA Farmers Markets Stand - set up an organising team and a plan to promote the BCA through a stand at the markets;
• Draft Budget - given the items we  want to achieve above, what should our draft budget be and therefore fund-raising targets:
