Urgent Flood Warning: List of Local Streets Likelt To Flood (via Councillor De Wit)
Please find attached (see below) the latest list of streets from Council's flood modelling which indicate predicted areas which may be inundated by today's high tide (expected to peak at 14:09 at Brisbane Port Office) and tomorrow's high tide. This information was provided by Coincillor Margaret De Wit via her e-newsletter today.
Sandbags can be collected from the following locations:
- Darra Works Depot, Shamrock Rd, Darra
- Morningside Works Depot, Redfern Street, Morningside
- Newmarket SES Depot, Wilston Rd, Newmarket (in carpark off Erneton Street)
- Zillmere Works Depot, Jennings Street, Zillmere
Ferries and City Cats have been cancelled until further notice in the interests of public safety. Buses are still operating where able.
Remember to keep your radio tuned to ABC 612AM for flood updates.
