You choose themidwife who is your health care provider, counsellor and contact throughoutpregnancy, birth and beyond

Your ownmidwife:

     Works with you to plan andprepare for your birth

     Checks on your health, babysgrowth and wellbeing

     Orders and reviews appropriatescans and blood tests

     Collaborates with doctors asrequired

     Is on call to be with you forlabour and birth, going with you to hospital

     Visits you at home to supportall the family till baby is six weeks

My Midwives canalso provide your postnatal support at home when birth has been with another healthprofessional.
