Hello

Firetruck stuck in the flood at the Brookfield Nursery on Moggill Road in the May 2009 flood. The road was blocked for three hours until the water subsided.

If you have pictures of the flood in the local area, please upload them to Nnub, or upload to Flickr and tag with "Moggill" and they will appear on the Moggill Nnub. We would like to collect  comprehensive set of images of the flood locally.

Or call Margot 3202 9149 if you would like assistance uploading.

Hello

The State Emergency Service (SES) is a volunteer organization  made up of local people who have volunteered to prepare themselves and their communities to minimise the effects of a disaster. SES volunteers do not receive payment.

Under the motto, "Be Aware", the basic concept of the SES is to encourage self-help and mutual assistance within each community. The SES Units support the statutory services (Police, Fire and Ambulance) where an emergency or disaster is beyond the resources of those services.
In Queensland, the SES is the primary response agency for storm and flood emergencies and provides support to other emergency service agencies.
