Community day at The Sanctuary on Moggill - with Masterchef'

Mirvac’s The Sanctuary on Moggill is set to host an open day to celebrate its latest residential land release, with activities including a cooking demonstration by Masterchef’s Alana Lowes, a community cricket game, children’s entertainment and a sausage sizzle.

The event will be held on Sunday December 4 from 11am, and is expected to attract hundreds of locals and visitors from surrounding regions. Festivities will take place at the Park across the road from The Sanctuary Sales Office.

Mirvac Queensland chief executive officer Matthew Wallace said the community event would provide an ideal opportunity for prospective purchasers to experience the lifestyle on offer at The Sanctuary on Moggill.

“This open day is all about celebrating the growth of The Sanctuary on Moggill - a thriving, tight-knit community which is now home to about 340 residents,” he said.

“As well as taking in The Sanctuary’s great location, guests will be able to hone their culinary skills with a barbeque cooking demonstration by Alana Lowes, take part in a friendly game with the Moggill Cricket Club and enjoy a sausage sizzle, sponsored by Coles Bellbowrie.”

“Children can enjoy pony rides and a petting farm, there will be plenty to see and do, so it will be a fantastic day for people of all ages.”

“Our recent stage 2a release was a great success with just three lots remaining near the on site cricket pitch, and I look forward to seeing plenty of new faces at The Sanctuary on Moggill as I expect stage 2b will also sell out quickly.

Mr Wallace said The Sanctuary on Moggill had been popular with an array of buyers, with the size and affordability of the lots and homes on offer proving to be major drawcards.

“There are few masterplanned communities within 18km of Brisbane CBD that offer homesites ranging from 661sqm up to more than 1,000sqm, making it easy to find a lot to suit homes of different sizes and styles,” he said.

“With 62 new homesites starting from just $240,000, The Sanctuary on Moggill caters to entry level buyers and growing families right through to investors and retirees.

“The community is close to schools, shops and public transport, and with a number of large parks and a new cricket pitch on site, residents have plenty of amenities at their doorstep.

“Those who act now can also take advantage of the Queensland Government’s $10,000 Building Boost which is available for a limited time, allowing buyers to make further savings on the purchase of their home.

“First time buyers can also secure a further $7,000 grant, taking total savings up to $17,000, so now is really an ideal time to buy, with government incentives, new homesites and a range of amenities available to those who want to call The Sanctuary on Moggill home.”

Mirvac says that when it is completed The Sanctuary of Moggill will comprise 358 quality family homes and will accommodate a community in excess of 1000 residents.

The Sanctuary on Moggill is located on the Cnr Moggill Rd and Sanctuary Way, Moggill.

URGENT MOGGILL MARKET NEWS From: John and Erica Parker Date: Tue, 14 Dec 2010 19:49:06 +1000 WE HAVE MOVED TO THE CORNER HAWKESBURY AND MOGGILL ROAD. entry Moggill Road. Hello to you all, the most important news is that we have had to move the Moggill Markets to a new site. Unfortunately we were only given 3 days, to clear everything out of the school. Major earthworks which were scheduled for January were brought forward to December, leaving us in a very difficult situation. Fortunately we had been negotiating with the OHara family who very generously offered us space to have the market. So we are delighted to be able to move the market to their farm, which is only 2 minutes from the school going towards the Moggill Ferry. The whole process has been extremely difficult and we would at this point like to publically thank Margaret de Wit, who helped push through the necessary permits for us to have the market on private land. We are now planning the new layout, there will be heaps of parking and all your favourite stallholders still there. So apologies for a lack of newsletter but there simply hasnt been time. MARKET News: Order your fresh prawns from Moreton Bay from Teck Wong, who has very kindly organised this for the markets. He will be bringing them at the Twilight Markets on the 23rd December which start at 4.00pm and close at 8.00pm. We also have new seasons white and yellow peaches, and nectarines from Sharon from Stanthorpe. And Belle will be bringing Muffin, I hear she is pretty bossy, but loves her bottle of milk. Please can you let all your friends and family know about the changes and forward this email. See you Saturday The Moggill Markets Team Margaret, John, Julia, Erica, Andrew, Lisa and Suzie. ------ End of Forwarded Message

The continuing rain has required yet another move - back to where we came from! The twilight market will be held this coming Thursday from 4pm until 8pm in the car park of the Moggill State School. As we are utilising the carpark for the markets, vehicles will need to be parked along Kangaroo Gully Road. Whilst the area is paved and there will be lighting, the ground is a bit uneven in places so if you are planning to be at the market as it gets dark a torch may be useful. The twilight market is a great opportunity to purchase the freshest fruit and vegetables and other foodie treats just prior to Christmas. We also welcome Govinda's who will have ready to eat curries as well as a curry recipe book for purchase. It might make a good last minute Christmas present! In addition to our regular stall holders there will also be entertainment with a variety of musicians helping set the Christmas mood. The Moggill Market Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing support of the markets. We hope that you have an chance to relax over the Christmas break and to catch up with friends and family. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday. Regards The Moggill Market Committee

Mt Crosby Country Market - DECEMBER 5th

Well Hello Everyone,

Have you done all your Christmas Shopping yet?  Why not pop down to our final market for the year at the Mount Crosby Country Market on Sunday 5th December.

We have yet another great line up of stalls and entertainment this month. It would be fabulous to see everyone there enjoying themselves and getting their entire Christmas gift shopping out of the way.

Whilst you are browsing the market, you can listen to Alvin and the Jabutu Band.  These guys are world class muzos that not only play music but entertain as well.  Nadia Sunde will also be dropping in, providing us with a performance full of energy for not only children but parents alike.

I have attached a copy of the December flyer and also a copy of our December Newsletter.  Please feel free to place this on your notice boards at work or school and share with your family and friends.

I am looking forward to seeing you all there and if anyone has any questions at all, please do not hesitate to give me a call.
