National Tree Day Planting 2nd AUGUST Sunday

National Tree Day Planting

Come join the Moggill Creek Catchment Group for a family tree planting event for National Tree Day. Suitable for all ages, we will be planting trees native to the Moggill Creek catchment, and then enjoying a well-earned BBQ. There's no need to book, but please bring appropriate clothing (long pants, closed in shoes) and sunscreen.

Moggill Creek has been badly infested with many weeds (mainly weed trees and vines)that have destroyed local vegetation and biodiversity. We have been working for 10 years along the creek bank and have restored 5km of creek bank and have planted over 10,000 trees and shrubs.

Date Sun 2 August 2009

Time 8:30am - midday

\Where Huntington Park, End of Kailua St, Brookfield Bus to Winrock Street from the City, Bus 435. Walk from end of Kailua St east to the site. It is easy to park on Kailua Street and walk into the park. when you enter the park move to your right and you will see us.
