Bellbowrie pool cleanup - great work and update

Thank you to the many volunteers who have been helping to clean up Bellbowrie Pool in working bees on the weekends together with Council contractors and workers.
Robert Dixon reports:As far as the buildings go, Vlad's home is a disaster, the change-rooms are now presentable (some mud high up needing step-ladders), the kiosk and café are not as bad as the house. See attached photos. Power has been restored to some parts (filtration equipment and selected power points). The grass outside the pool (near the entrance) is full of debris, including glass and screws etc. This needs some serious attention as people walk across it in thongs or bare feet.Robert has sent info (and photos) to the council to see what happens.
Margaret de Wit has already confirmed that the pool will stay, however volunteers are awaiting a response from Council before further cleanup activity as we are unsure of Council's intention with the buildings - whether they will stay, or whether they might be new ones located elsewhere on the site that are less prone to flooding.
Margaret writes "The Bellbowrie Pool will reopen as soon as possible. We have a massive repair bill for the site but I have asked that a pool without the other infrastructure be made available to the public as soon as the repairs can be carried out. Unfortunately the 150,000 litre concrete backwash holding tank has floated and damaged the plant room. If we can get the pool repaired temporary structures can be used until the whole site can be rebuilt."
We are all hoping for a quick resolution so that our community pool can get back to use.
